✨ Why This Recipe Works

  • Naturally sweetened with fruit

  • Easy to customize with approved add-ins

  • Great for breakfast, brunch, or a wholesome snack

🥣 Base Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

  • 1½ cups water or unsweetened almond milk

  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries

Optional Daniel Fast Add-Ins (choose any combination you like)

  • ¼ cup chopped dates

  • ¼ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds work well)

  • ¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes

  • ¼ cup chopped dried apricots

  • ¼ cup unsweetened raisins

Optional Flavor Boosters

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon vanilla powder

  • Pinch of sea salt

🕊️ Instructions

  • Preheat the oven

  • Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish with a small amount of coconut oil or olive oil.

Mix the wet ingredients

  • In a large bowl, mash the bananas thoroughly.

  • Stir in the applesauce and water or almond milk until smooth.

Add the dry ingredients

  • Add the oats, cinnamon, salt, and any optional add-ins you’re using.

  • Stir gently until everything is evenly combined.

Add the fruit

  • Gently stir in the frozen blueberries last to keep them from getting smooshed.

Bake

  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.

  • Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, until cooked through in the center and lightly golden around the edges.

Rest and serve

  • Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. The oatmeal will firm up as it rests.

🌿 Serving Suggestions

  • Enjoy warm as-is OR
